Nectar Water Softener for whole house

A water softener removes calcium and magnesium from hard water, preventing scale buildup, improving soap efficiency, leaving dishes spot-free, and making skin softer and hair smoother.

How Does a Water Softener Work?

Water softeners work using a resin bed and ion exchange process:

01/ Water flows into the softener

Hard water enters the softener and passes through a bed of resin beads.

02/Ion Exchange Stage

The resin beads are charged with sodium or potassium ions. As hard water passes through, the calcium and magnesium ions are attracted to the resin

03/Soft water exits

The now softened water, free of calcium and magnesium, exits the softener, ready for use

04/Regeneration cycle

After some time, the resin becomes saturated with calcium and magnesium. The system flushes a saltwater (brine) solution through.

Benefits of a Water Softener

Prevents Scale Buildup

Soft water reduces limescale deposits in pipes, appliances, and fixtures, improving their lifespan

Better Soap Efficiency

Soft water allows soap and detergent to lather better, improving cleaning efficiency

Softer Skin & Hair

Soft water prevents the drying effects of hard water, making skin and hair feel softer and less irritated

Extended Appliance life

Appliances like dishwashers, washing machines, and water heaters last longer when operating with soft water
